Re: need advice as a new sw user
Cheers guys, massive thanks for all the advice, it's been a big help. To be honest, I've learned not to take much of what my local fish store says as gospel, they specialise in tropicals, not marine, and in the past they've given me some right old rubbish. So I'll be taking your advice onboard ...

Re: need advice as a new sw user
Thanks for the advice, cheers. Yeah I knew what I meant to say, just got a bit muddled, haha. So no skimmer, that's a big plus, saves me some cash. What's the smallest tank you can get away with, without one, just out of curiosity?

Re: Mayan sun favia care and troubleshooting
My other Favia's are thriving though, which is why I'm stumped by this one - same parameters, same lighting setup, yet this one's browning out on me.

Mayan sun favia care and troubleshooting
It started out looking great under my LED's, but today it's like this
I'm trying to get it back to its original shape.
Lights are 30-50% max ramping for 8hrs on the SB. I had it in the back right corner under the overflow box, hoping that would be a lower light area. All parameters are spot on ...

Re: information about mimic tang
PLEASE HELP ME OUT GUYS,
I'm really curious about half-black mimic tangs - anyone got one?
If so, I'm wondering if it's cool to keep one with my 2 clowns in a 30gallon tank?
Also, I've been reading up on them but I'm getting mixed info - how big do they get and what's their temperment like?

information about mimic tang
Hey everyone, I've got a question - does anyone out there have experience with a half-black mimic tang? I'm curious about keeping one with my 2 clowns in a 30-gallon tank. I've checked a few websites, but the info seems pretty inconsistent. What kind of size can I expect them to grow to, and what's ...
