One more thing—don't feed them right after the move. Wait a day or two till they're settled. And check your water params at the new place before adding the fish. Tap water can vary a lot.

I've moved tanks a few times. The key is to keep the filter media wet in tank water, so your cycle doesn't crash. Also, pack the fish in separate bags with plenty of air, and use a cooler to stabilize temps. How long's the drive?

I've found that mushrooms can be weird about feeding. Some days they'll take it, other days they won't. My 30-gallon has a mix of Discosoma and Ricordea, and I feed them every 10 days with a mix of Reef Roids and frozen brine. They seem to like the variety.

Shells are basically calcium carbonate, so they'll slowly dissolve and raise both pH and hardness. If you've got a buffering substrate or driftwood, it might balance out, but otherwise, I'd remove them. What's your tank stocked with?
