Re: is keeping sharks as pets allowed?

I think some species in their family might be allowed, but it really depends on your location. To be honest, I'm not too familiar with shark laws. It's just a concern that comes to mind - would you really want to take that risk in your tank? It could potentially cause some serious damage. And then ...

Re: A pair of clown fish?

Will they cross breed though?
Thanks for the info Rileyon.
Are they easy to sex, or is it a bit tricky?
I'm hoping to get them before they mature, fingers crossed.

Re: A pair of clown fish?

I'm even more confused now.
Should I just stick with one color for both, or does it really matter?
If I get them small, they should be alright in a 130ltr tank, right?

A pair of clown fish?

My girlfriend's taken the reins on this one.
She's set her heart on two clowns - one in black and white, the other in orange and white.
I'm just wondering if they'll thrive in my 130ltr tank.
I've got a few other fish lined up, not sure if it's relevant but thought I'd share my stocking list ...

Re: Best places to frag a hammer coral

I'd hold off for a couple months, let it get some more growth and settle into its new environment. It looks like it might be a recent cut, and since you just got it, it's probably still recovering from the fragging process. Give it some time to heal and establish itself before making any cuts.

Sorry to hijack. I was just wondering, can seahorses get on with other marine fish, like in the same tank or something?

Re: selecting your top marine fish

1. Spotted Mandarin - The colours just pop.

2. Firtideflow - Honestly, no specific reason, I just really like them.

3. Lionfish - They're so eye-catching, really stand out in the tank.

Re: Attaching frogspawn coral to live rock

I've had good experiences with the 2 part epoxy putty, it's just what I prefer to use. The putty can be a bit of an eyesore for a while, but that's pretty tank-dependent - eventually, algae and coralline will cover it up.

I like to mix it up, let it cure in my hand for a bit, then place it on the ...
