Re: A tang white spot headache
Regal tangs can get stressed with even the slightest change in the tank, I've seen it myself. Is there any fish chasing him about, that might be causing the stress? I reckon getting a few cleaning wrasses in your quarantine tank wouldn't be a bad idea, that's what my local fish shop told me to do ...

Re: Is it time to consider euthanasia?
To help you out, I got a few questions about the setup and care for your friend's trigger. What kind of frozen foods are you offering it, and how's the water quality in the QT tank?
Also, how long has the QT tank been running before you introduced the trigger? And what treatments have you tried so ...

Re: setting up a fish only tank
copperband, 6 line wrasse, gold banded maroon clowns - always liked these,
yellow tangs, 6 of them would be great
2 yellow belly regals would add some nice colour
emperor tang, would be an awesome addition

Re: scooter blenny discussion
I think you'll be alright adding a few more fish, I've got a big tank, 490 litres, and I've also got a nano with 7 small fish and 9 corals, seems to be working out fine for me.

Re: keeping a regal tang
That's what happened to me twice, had to quarantine the tank and take water out into a separate tank for 4 days. If it's not eating, gotta leave it for another 4 days, that's what I did and it took 12 days but my LFS was right, it worked like a charm. Just feed it frozen food or its fave food and ...

Re: Bangai cardinal having trouble.
Is the Bangai Cardinal still in quarantine, I'm guessing it is. I've had similar issues with high ammonia and nitrate levels, and I'm thinking it could be a bacterial infection. I've had good luck with Odinox in the past, it's usually sorted out problems like this for me.

Re: Frogspawn coral flesh detaching from skeleton
sadly yes, I've experienced similar issues with my frogspawn coral in the past. Have you noticed any coral receding lately? I've had limited success with reattaching the fleshy part, but I've tried using a makeshift enclosure - essentially a tupperware container filled with live rock rubble and a ...

Re: keeping lyretail anthias
honestly, yeah 190kg is more than enough for a 420litre tank, it's like overkill on the live rock, lol
