Got a 4 week old 20G nano with a yellow clown goby and an orange spotted goby. Adding a pair of juvenile occelaris clown fish this weekend.
Wondering if anyone's had any issues with mixing clown gobies and clown fish - my little guy's already pretty bold, comes up to the front of the tank when I'm ...

Re: Filter airlock issues: Help
Good point about the O-rings. Also, if you've recently moved the filter or changed the tubing, there might be a small leak somewhere. A bit of food-safe lubricant on the seals can help too.

Re: Filter airlock issues: Help
Airlock issues are common with canister filters. First, make sure the intake and outtake tubes are free of debris. Check the impeller for any blockages too. Sometimes tilting the filter slightly can help release trapped air. Have you done any recent maintenance on it?
That's solid advice. I'd ...

Re: can chalice corals tolerate low light?
I've had success with mine in low light, but it's all about balance. If you're gonna move it, do it gradually. Maybe reduce the light intensity over a week or two. How's your flow in that area? They still need some movement.

Re: why do my java ferns keep melting?
Hard water could definitely be the culprit. Try adding some driftwood or almond leaves to soften it a bit. Also, make sure they're not getting too much light. Java Ferns are low-light plants.

Re: why do my java ferns keep melting?
That sounds frustrating. Java Ferns can be tricky sometimes. Have you checked your water hardness? They prefer softer water, and if it's too hard, they might struggle. Also, how's your flow? They don't like strong currents.

Re: Dragon soul favia brain coral care and discussion
I'm also curious about the best placement for this coral in terms of light and flow. Would low light areas be suitable or does it require more intense lighting? And what about water flow - does it prefer strong currents or can it thrive in more stagnant areas?
