Re: how to Grow marimo moss balls

Thanks for the tips, everyone. I'll try the gentle squeeze trick during water changes and keep the temp in check.

how to Grow marimo moss balls

I just got my first marimo moss ball and I'm not sure how to care for it. What's the best way to keep it healthy and growing? My tank is a 10 gallon with low light and no CO2.

Re: Can eyes change color?

Can you take a couple pics of Fluxx, one during the day and one at night, and post them here?

Re: Can eyes change color?

I think it's possible that the lighting is playing a role here. Pupil dilation could also be a factor, I'm not entirely sure if that's the correct term or if it's even applicable in this situation, but it's worth considering.

Re: betta still has growths after treatment

I'm at my wit's end with my beautiful Betta - he's going downhill fast despite my best efforts. The white swelling just won't budge.

Tank specs: 30ltr Biorb (around 8 US gallons), one betta, two tetras, plastic ornaments, and standard Biorb filtration.

Initially, Paisa had a small white patch ...

Re: stocking a 46-gallon aquarium

I don't have a ton of experience with saltwater tanks, but I've always thought clownfish would be a great choice for a tank like yours.

Re: betta still has growths after treatment

I think the tank size might be part of the issue here, it's probably causing a lot of stress for your betta, which in turn affects the water quality. Could you tell me what your ammonia level is? I didn't see that in your post.

I would recommend doing a pretty drastic water change - 75% should ...

I'm on the same page as brinyveg. Daily water changes seem to be the way to go.

Re: finding suitable tankmates for betta

I've been reading up on testing a Betta's temperament to see if they're community fish material, and I have to say, I was taken aback by the results. Had two low-ranking male neptunes in my tank, cleaning up the last of the detritus worms, and on a whim, I decided to introduce my new Betta to see ...
