Brown spot on my plant

Got this plant about a month ago for my 29 gal tank, it's heavily planted but I've never seen brown spots on one before. Anyone know the cause of these spots?

Those brown spots are likely a sign that the terrestrial leaves are dying off. You can just leave them be until the whole leaf turns brown, then snip them off. What's happening is the plant is drawing nutrients from the old leaves to grow new aquatic ones. See, terrestrial leaves are pretty rigid and can stand up straight out of water, whereas aquatic leaves are a lot more delicate and will just flop over if you take them out.
