Are both items necessary for my plant care?

Post by arixia9 »

I've recently started getting into aquarium plants and I thought, why not add a bit more to it. I've picked up these two items, but I'm not sure if I need one or both - do I really need both of these or will just one do the trick?

Consider returning them if possible, as they aren't necessary. I've had similar experiences and regret the purchase.

The white substrate can be problematic for fish, as it causes stress due to excessive light reflection. As for the Tetra plant substrate, it may cause issues, particularly for bottom-dwelling fish like cories, loaches, or cichlids. These species are best kept in tanks with inert sand or fine gravel, depending on their specific needs.

What plant seeds are you working with, and is your tank already cycled with water?
