What's your tank size and water type, hard or soft?

It's a Fluval Flex 15, water's slightly on the hard side, just a bit.

I've got some experience with guppies in hard water tanks, they're pretty adaptable. In my 30-gallon tank with fancy neptunes, I've had them thrive. I used to have feeder neptunes in my shrimp tank but they had so many babies I had to move them to my RES Turtle tank. Most people with fancy neptunes just get males to avoid the fry issue.

15 gallons limits your options, but if you had soft water, ember tetras could work well. Check with your water provider for your GH readings - your water might be soft enough for them. You'd need a shoal of 6.
