growing dwarf hair grass: tips and advice

So after that incident with my pygmy cory, I've been re-working a few things in my tank. Got my dwarf hair grass in super fast – it looks healthy, but my new substrate is still a couple days out.

Wondering if there's a way to keep the grass fresh till the substrate gets here. Thought about floating it in the tank since I added some flourish a couple days ago, but not sure if that's the best idea. For now, they're just chillin' in a small cup with the gel still on.

I'd recommend keeping it in the cup for now, just place it near a window with some indirect light.
