Just out of curiosity, how long did it take for your kribs to produce fry after you got them? Were they a proven pair beforehand? No worries if I'm asking too many questions, I've just got my first kribs and I'm really excited about it.

It can take as little as a month for kribs to spawn, but honestly, it's anyone's guess - it really depends on the tank setup and how often you're messing with the decor and the frequency of feeding and cleaning.

Thanks for the info, I was thinking along those lines. We've only had them 2 days, still hiding, but the tank's got plenty of hiding spots - 3 caves, bogwood, and lots of plants. I'm planning to feed them twice a day, small amounts, and do a weekly water change with cooler water. The LPS said they'd hide for a few days till they settle, so I'm expecting it to be a week or so. Only got 4 kribs in the tank, 2 albino, 2 red, was thinking of adding some larger tetras, but think I'll hold off now.

My kribs have finally spawned, and I'm just shy of three weeks into having them. Ironic, really, since I wasn't exactly hoping for them to breed - I just wanted them to get along. Guess they're getting along just fine, huh?
