Using chemiclean to treat bacterial infections

I've had success using this product to get rid of red slime at lower doses over longer periods, no problems so far. My all-LPS tank has had some issues with wall hammers - they'll start decaying, usually in a corner, and before I know it, the piece is gone. This has happened a few times over the past 2 months.

Yesterday, I had an ultra trachy with a decaying piece. When I removed it, the piece was slimy, stunk, and had a clear bacterial infection. The rest of my LPS are doing fine, and my parameters are all good. I do regular water changes, and now I'm thinking about a safety measure to prevent any bacterial issues from getting worse.

The owner of my LFS told me that many LPS wholesalers use Chemiclean dips and in-tank treatments as a bacterial preventive measure, and they've had success with it. From what I understand, Chemiclean contains erythromycin.

Has anyone tried this treatment or any other whole-tank treatment? I've got corals that are stuck to the rockwork, so I couldn't dip them one by one even if I wanted to. When I used Chemiclean to treat red slime, I didn't notice any issues with the corals, but I've heard it can harm the good bacteria. That's why I want to do some research before trying it.
