exploring the world of rare freshwater aquarium fish
I'm working on an article about rare aquarium fish for TFF and I'm looking for some ideas. What are some of the rarest fish you've come across that I could include?
Re: exploring the world of rare freshwater aquarium fish
How about the Elephantnose fish? It's not exactly rare, but it has some unique features that make it pretty interesting to learn about.

Elephant noses are indeed fascinating creatures, with a plethora of interesting facts to share. Their unique abilities are often overlooked, making them an intriguing subject to explore.
During my time in Gabon, I had the opportunity to catch some of these remarkable fish, and I was struck by the locals' enthusiasm for them. They would often ask for any extras we didn't want to keep, as they apparently make a tasty soup. I, uh, politely declined the offer to try it.

You've got your subject right there... They're not a common sight in your average community tank, despite being relatively accessible.

@eleNt
What made you pick "elephantnose" for your forum name, seems like more than a coincidence after this conversation.

I picked elephantnose as my username since it's quite an interesting fish, and it isn't every day you come across one.

Your name choice, was it inspired by the Elephantnose fish?
