Is the grey kribensis a good choice?

Post by fin_tank »

I've noticed my male Kribensis doing this too - he'll suddenly turn this solid grey/blue colour, then just as quickly go back to normal. This has been happening a lot more often lately, though. He's with a female (she's on the right) and they're always spawning, so I'm wondering if this colour change is some kind of breeding thing - maybe he's trying to calm her down or something? I've read that the females are usually the aggressive ones, but in my case, it's him doing all the chasing.

Just got my Krib a day ago, he's starting to come out of hiding now. Still quite grey, but I notice a slight blue tint on his lower fins, nothing much else colour-wise yet. I'm really looking forward to seeing his full colours, got the ideal plants in place for him already.
