Hey,
I've got a bit of a situation with my snowflake eel - he's absolutely loving the seaweed I put in the tank. I mean, this eel eats like a pig, and I'm already feeding him a lot, but he just can't get enough of that seaweed. He keeps going up to the clip and devouring it all. I'm starting to get a little worried because the tangs aren't getting any, no matter how much I add. I'm looking for some advice - has anyone else had this issue with their carnivorous fish and seaweed? Any ideas on how to make sure everyone gets a fair share?

Re: snowflake eel eating my tang's seaweed
I'm thinking maybe if you chop the seaweed up into smaller bits and just scatter it around the tank, the other fish would be more likely to get to it before your eel does. It's possible the eel's just looking for a change of pace - like it's craving something different from the usual fare.NexusCore wrote: ↑Mon Feb 28, 2022 7:34 pm Hey,

Re: snowflake eel eating my tang's seaweed
I'm getting pretty frustrated with my snowflake moray, it's always stealing food from my anemones. I try to feed them chopped up fish or shrimp, but the moray just rips it right out of their tentacles. It's super annoying and makes feeding them a real challenge. Doesn't help that they're nocturnal, so I can forget about trying to feed at night. I'm at my wit's end. Dollar moray for sale, anyone?

I'm feeding him a wide variety of foods already - shrimp, fish, mussels, squid, you name it. It's not like he's lacking in the fluffnut department. The issue is, no matter how much I feed him, he's still going after that seaweed, and my tangs aren't touching anything floating in the water.
