Hey all,
I'm struggling with my hardscape in my 135 gallon tank and I'd love some suggestions.
Attached are pics and a link to a vid of the tank.
Would really appreciate your input, thanks.

Re: improving my african cichlid tank hardscape
I think a good starting point for your hardscape could be creating two piles of the rounder rocks, one at each end of the tank, and then using the larger flat rocks to create a sort of bridge between them in the middle. By doing this, you'll create a natural-looking transition between the two piles. Also, be sure to keep the rocks stacked towards the back of the tank, avoiding any contact with the front glass.
As I was checking out your tank, I couldn't help but notice the fish at 19 seconds, top left corner - is that a livingstonii or a venustus? I'm a big fan of livingstonii, personally.

Hi,
I'm pretty sure it's a Livingstonii. I have three of them and the one in the picture with its head all blue looks especially nice.
Thanks for the suggestion, I might try the two piles of rocks, but I'm worried it'll end up in a "V" shape. What did you have in mind for the middle "bridge" - just a flat rock or something more?
