Hey TFF!!!

I'm super excited about this idea I had - a mini contest for the best and cutest betta pics, all in tribute to our amazing betta friends. I'll be judging this contest, and I'll be looking at health, looks, cuteness, and behavior. Just one photo per entry, please.

To enter, simply send a photo of your betta along with its name - any species is welcome. Once we hit 10 entries, I'll create a new thread for voting. I really hope you'll join in and show off your betta buddies.

So this is like a "Betta of the month" thing. I'm in. Here's my guy.

Name: Blaze
Size: About 2.5 in.
Age: Around 2 years old
Breed: Super Delta Tail/Dumbo Ear Male Betta Fish

Here's his pic:

I know he doesn't look super cute in pictures, but trust me, his personality is adorable. When I feed him, he looks at me, then at the food, and it's like he's thinking, "Really, that's it?" Then he waits a bit before eating. It's hilarious.

Anyway, I hope you like Blaze.

It's not a prize to brag about, but I'll give you a follow. A few updates - the contest wraps up in 3 days, and I'll be judging on Friday (Thursday for those in the US). If phoenixking is the only one who enters, I'll have to cancel, unfortunately.

I'm not sure what you're referring to, but I've had interactions with fineman before and he seems like a reliable person.

I've got an update on this contest. lunarix has agreed to end it via private message. I'll be setting up an official TFF FOTM contest, just for bettas, around August 15th. phoenixkingz and all members, you're welcome to enter your betta fish in that one. As per forum rules, contests should only be run by TFF staff - we can promote them properly and get more people involved. I'll be locking this thread soon.

To run a contest smoothly, admin approval is necessary. For the next Fish of the Month contest, we could include specific requirements that involve betta photos.

A betta-only FOTM contest is scheduled for around August 15th.
