is this cichlid possibly infected
This particular species tends to keep to itself, avoiding interactions with other fish.

I'm curious, what specific type of fish are you referring to?
Also, could you possibly give the glass a good clean and take some additional photos?

I don't notice any fish that seem to be carrying eggs, usually the throat area is a bit more prominent when females are holding.
I'm still having trouble identifying the fish, clearer pics would be helpful but I'm not sure I'll be able to give a solid ID even then.
