Rotala can be tricky without CO2, but it's not impossible. Have you considered adding a DIY CO2 setup? It's cheap and can make a big difference.

Sounds like a cool tank. I've got a 10-gallon too, but with more crypts. How's the Fluval Stratum working for you? Heard it can lower pH.

Thanks! I've got a betta and some cherry shrimp. The betta's been pretty chill with the shrimp so far.

Betta and shrimp can be hit or miss. Glad yours is behaving! Just keep an eye on the shrimp population. Bettas sometimes decide they're snacks later on.

That's a great combo. The shrimp will help keep the tank clean too. How often are you doing water changes with the Stratum? It can leach ammonia at first.

Betta and shrimp tanks are so fun. If your betta stays chill, you'll have a thriving shrimp colony in no time. What's your feeding routine like for them?

Dude, my betta annihilated my shrimp in like a day. Yours sounds way cooler. Maybe I just got a murder fish.

Haha, some bettas are just like that. Mine ignores the shrimp but goes nuts for bloodworms. What's your betta's favorite food?

I've been thinking about adding shrimp to my betta tank but I'm scared. Yours sounds like it's working out great. Any tips for introducing them?

Shrimp are the best. Even if the betta eats a few, they breed like crazy. Just give 'em plenty of hiding spots and they'll be fine.
