what's your favorite carpet plant?
I've been trying to find a good carpet plant for my 20 gallon tank. What's your favorite and why? I've got moderate lighting and a dirted substrate.

I like Dwarf Hairgrass. It's easy to grow and spreads fast. Just needs decent light and a bit of CO2.

Monte Carlo is my go-to. It's chill and doesn't need crazy light. Just trim it now and then to keep it thick.

Dwarf Baby Tears if you're up for a challenge. Looks awesome but needs high light and CO2. Worth it if you're patient.

I've had luck with Marsilea Hirsuta. It's low maintenance and grows slow, which I kinda prefer. No CO2 needed.

For a 20 gallon, I'd recommend Pearlweed. It's versatile, can be a carpet or a bush, and grows well in most conditions. Just needs regular trimming.

I agree with Pearlweed. It's forgiving and looks great.

If you want something unique, try Utricularia Graminifolia. It's a carnivorous plant but forms a nice carpet. Just keep the water clean.

Dwarf Hairgrass is the way to go. It's like the lawn of the aquarium world. Just don't let it get too wild.

I've tried Monte Carlo and Dwarf Hairgrass. Both are solid choices, but Monte Carlo is easier to manage.
