Also, make sure your cleanup crew isn't stealing the food. Hermits and shrimp can be sneaky little thieves.

True story. I've had to target feed mine with a turkey baster to keep the shrimp from hogging it all.

If you're using reef roids, turn off the flow for a bit after feeding. Gives the coral time to grab the food before it gets blown away.
