How Do You Keep Plants Healthy?
My Anubias aren't growing well in my 20-gallon tank. I've got a basic LED light, sand substrate, and do weekly water changes. Any tips to get them thriving?

Anubias are slow growers but should still show progress. What's your light duration? They prefer low to medium light, around 6–8 hours daily. Also, check if they're buried too deep in the sand—rhizomes need to stay above substrate.

I had the same issue until I added liquid fertilizer. Anubias feed through their leaves, so try dosing something like Seachem Flourish twice a week. Made a huge diff for me.

Light and ferts are solid advice. Another weird vibe I noticed: flow matters. My Anubias perked up when I moved them away from the filter output. Too much current stresses 'em out.

Sand can compact over time, starving roots of oxygen. Try poking the substrate gently with a chopstick to aerate it. Sounds silly, but it works.

Thanks, all! Gonna adjust the light to 7 hours, start Flourish, and check the rhizomes. Appreciate the help.

Don't forget patience! Anubias take weeks to respond to changes. If you see black spots, that's normal—just trim the ugly leaves.

My tank's a hot mess, but my Anubias are chill. I dunno why, maybe 'cause I ignore 'em? Less fuss = happier plants?
