favorite tail types and color patterns?

Post by FinFan »

Bettas are truly stunning, with so many unique tail types and colors to choose from - everyone has their own favorite, don't they. For me, delta tails will always hold a special place; I've had the pleasure of owning one, and he's honestly the happiest, most beautiful betta I've ever laid eyes on.

As for coloration, I'm really torn between koi, lavender, pineapple, marble, candy, and mustard gas - I know that's a pretty long list, but can you blame me? There are just so many gorgeous patterns out there. What about you, what's your go-to betta color or tail type?

I'm totally a fan of the mustard gas coloration. I had a beautiful purple betta that I just lost, and he was such a sweetheart. As for tail types, I'm not picky as long as they're not fin-nippers - that's just a bonus. Double tails are really pretty to me, they add some extra flair without being too overwhelming.

Sorry to hear about your loss, SeaBidder. I'm with you on the tail type though - anything that doesn't cause them to nip at their own fins is a win in my book.

I absolutely adore either super delta or dumbo ear fin tanks with that gorgeous purple, red, and white coloration. Or, a Crown tail with the stunning mustard gas color is just as amazing. I'm also a huge fan of halfmoon dumbo ear fin tanks - the possibilities are endless. Kudos to you, FinFan, for coming up with this thread idea, and your intro was spot on, by the way.

Kingrise, your betta has that gorgeous purple, white, and red combo, right, and the dumbo ears? That coloration is really something special. Thanks for the kind words about the thread and intro, I'm glad you enjoyed it.

My go-to tail type is definitely HMPK - just something about them that catches my eye. Koi coloration is usually my top pick, there's something about the way the colors blend that I just love.

In that thread about the healthiest tail types, I saw a pic of your betta.

There are so many beautiful bettas out there now. I'm really fond of the classic Cambodian betta - you know, the ones with a light body and those gorgeous light red fins. It's like they're the Siamese cat of the betta world, with that striking red point coloration. As for tails, I've always been a fan of anything big and full, it just adds to their majestic look.

I've had the pleasure of owning a Cambodkento4 female, and I must say, she was absolutely stunning. Another breed that caught my eye is the Armageddon - their colors are truly breathtaking.
