raising mbuna babies
Just got over the loss of my Jack Dempsey spawn and I'm thrilled to share that I've got at least 6 healthy Mbuna fry swimming around. Still unsure if they're Yellow Lab or Blue Zebra, will post pics soon.

You're asking if I was caught off guard or if I knew they were on the way. To be honest, I had an inkling there might be eggs, but I wasn't entirely sure - had my fingers crossed, though.

My hubby had a hunch one of them was holding, we weren't entirely sure though

Congrats on the new additions, seems like you're on a roll with the fish, one batch after another.

I know, right. They just seem to love getting down to business. It's definitely a good sign, means they're feeling pretty content.

My livebearers are always popping out babies, but I'm not sure if that's a sign of happiness for them since they breed like crazy. Either way, it's awesome you're getting some new additions - best of luck with those little Mbuna!
