I'm familiar with marine ich, and I was curious about the specific term when I saw your topic. I'm pretty sure it's got a distinct name... I just can't put my finger on it right now. I'll probably be up late trying to figure it out, anyone else know what I'm talking about?

It depends on the type, there are a few different parasitic varieties of marine whitespot. Maybe the name you're thinking of is Oodinium or Amyloodinium - either way, the treatment is the same. You'd need to do a QT, and you've got two options: hyposalinity at 1.009sg, or copper at 0.20-0.30ppm. If the fish is large, like an angelfish, and it's only got a few spots, you can try heavy feedings and a freshwater dip - the fish might be able to fight it off on its own.
