need help with sexing

Post by Aquafan »

I posted a while ago about my Pelvicachromis Subocellatus, I was seeking help with sexing them. They've grown a lot since then and are now in their 85 gallon tank. Opinions on the sex of the 4 would be great.

Sexing these guys is pretty straightforward, but gotta say, the pics don't make it easy. Check the pelvic fins - females have 'em short and rounded, males are long and pointed. That's the general rule for all Pelvicachromis species.

Can't be certain about the first two pics, but the third one's a female and the fourth one's a male.
