can discus eat frozen bloodworms?

Just be careful not to overdo it. Bloodworms are high in fat, and too much can lead to health issues. My discus are in a 75g, temp 85F, pH 6.6, with a sponge filter and daily 10% water changes. I feed them bloodworms once every two weeks, along with a mix of pellets and homemade beef heart. Tankmates are harlequin rasboras and a few otos. Anyone have issues with picky eaters?

My discus were picky at first, but they came around. 90g tank, temp 84F, pH 6.8, with a Fluval 407. I started mixing bloodworms with their pellets, and now they eat both no problem. Substrate's white sand, with some driftwood and Java moss. Also got a school of neon tetras and a few kuhli loaches. How long have you guys been keeping discus?

I've had mine for about a year now. 65g tank, temp 83F, pH 6.5, with a canister filter and weekly 20% water changes. They get bloodworms once a week, and they're growing like weeds. Tankmates are some cherry barbs and a pair of apistos. Substrate's eco-complete, with a bunch of Anubias and crypts. Anyone else's discus get super active after feeding bloodworms?

Mine do. 50g tank, temp 84F, pH 6.7, with a sponge filter and weekly 25% water changes. They go nuts for bloodworms, swimming all over the place. Also got some rummynose tetras and a few amano shrimp. Substrate's black sand, with some driftwood and Java fern. How do you guys store your frozen food? I keep mine in the freezer door.

I keep mine in the freezer too, in a ziploc bag. 55g tank, temp 85F, pH 6.8, with a canister filter and weekly 30% water changes. My discus get bloodworms once a week, and they love it. Tankmates are some cardinal tetras and a few Corydoras. Substrate's pool filter sand, with some driftwood and Amazon swords. Anyone else's fish ignore other food after bloodworms?
