What Plants Can Handle Brackish Water?
I've been thinking about setting up a brackish tank, but I'm not sure which plants can handle the salt. Anyone got experience with this? I've heard Java Fern might work, but I'm not sure about others.

I've had some luck with Anubias in my brackish tank. They're pretty hardy and don't seem to mind the salt. What's your tank size? That might help narrow down options.

Brackish water plants are tricky, but Mangroves are a solid choice. They're naturally found in brackish environments and can handle salinity up to 1.010 SG. Just make sure you have enough light and space for their roots.

Java Fern is a good start, but you might also try Cryptocoryne wendtii. It's adaptable and can handle low to moderate salinity.

I've had mixed results with Hornwort in brackish water. It grows fast but can be a bit finicky with salt levels. Maybe start with something easier like Java Moss.

My buddy's got some Vallisneria in his brackish tank, and it's doing alright. Not sure about the exact salinity, but it's worth a shot if you're experimenting.

I'd recommend starting with a low salinity and slowly increasing it. Some plants might surprise you with their adaptability. Just keep an eye on them and adjust as needed.

Dude, go for Sago Pondweed. It's a beast in brackish water and looks pretty cool too. Just don't let it take over your tank.

If you're looking for something unique, try Bacopa monnieri. It's not the most common choice, but it can handle brackish conditions if acclimated properly.

Anubias is a safe bet, but make sure you attach it to driftwood or rocks. It doesn't like being buried in substrate.
