Albino vs. bronze corydoras
I'm setting up a new 20-gallon tank and can't decide between Albino and Bronze Corydoras. Which one's more active or has better color? I've got sand substrate and a sponge filter running.

Albino Corydoras are more visible against dark substrate, but Bronze Corydoras have a warmer tone. Both are equally active, but Albino might stand out more if you've got darker decor. What's your tank's lighting like?

I've kept both! Albino Corydoras are super fun to watch, especially in groups. Bronze ones blend in more but have a cool metallic sheen. Either way, they're gonna need at least 6 buddies to feel safe.

Yep, agree with the group size. Albino Corydoras are easier to spot during water changes, though. Bronze ones can hide in plain sight if your substrate matches.

Albino Corydoras tend to be a bit hardier in my experience. Bronze ones can be picky about water params. What's your pH and temp right now? That might sway your choice.

I'd go with Albino Corydoras, no contest. They pop against plants and dark wood. Bronze ones are chill but kinda boring unless you've got bright lights. Either way, make sure your sand's fine-grained.

Albino Corydoras are more expensive here. Is there a big difference in price where you are? That might help decide.

Thanks for the input, everyone. My pH is 7.2, temp's at 76°F. I'll probably go with Albino Corydoras since I've got driftwood and darker substrate. Appreciate the advice!

Good call! Albino Corydoras are a blast to watch when they're digging around. Just keep an eye on their barbels, sand's gotta be smooth or they'll get irritated.

I've only kept Bronze Corydoras. They're neat but yeah, kinda blend in. Albino sounds like the move if you want visibility.
