ram breeding and care

I've got 2 pairs of rams, one pair of golden rams and the other pair german blue rams. Got one male and one female of each type.

What's the best approach for breeding them? Are they into caves or little hidden spots?

You've got the wrong section for this question, these are new world cichlids. For breeding, they generally go for a flat rock with some overhanging cover - in my experience, a leaf does the trick. That being said, my rams have also made use of terrac flower pots when laid on their sides.

fair dinkum, i've been guilty of posting in the wrong section too, didn't have a clue about old world and new world cichlids, but cheers for the heads up oakleyride. yeah, those terrac pots on their side, been told they work a treat, my mate's been breeding em that way for ages, so i'll def give it a go.
