Live plants improve water quality by absorbing nitrates and providing oxygen. They also reduce stress for your betta by mimicking their natural habitat. Start with hardy species like anubias or java fern.

I dig live plants 'cause they make the tank look more legit. Just don't go overboard with the lighting, or you'll be dealing with algae city.

I use fake plants because I don't have time for live ones. My betta seems happy enough.

Live plants are the way to go, fam. They're better for your fish and make the tank pop. Just start slow and don't stress if you mess up at first.

I've had success with both, but live plants definitely add more life to the tank. Just keep an eye on your water params to make sure everything's balanced.

Thanks for all the advice, everyone. Gonna start with some java fern and see how it goes. Appreciate the tips!
