My Palythoa grandis isn't opening fully since I moved it to a new tank. Water params are good, 0 ammonia, 0 nitrite, 10 nitrate, 8.2 pH. Running a 75-gallon with two AI Primes, 12 hours light cycle. Any tips?

Palythoa grandis can be picky about flow. What's your current setup? I've had success with moderate flow, not too direct. Also, check for pests like nudibranchs, they're sneaky.

Agree with Florixio on flow. Mine hated high flow, closed up until I dialed it back. Also, what's your salinity? They're sensitive to swings.

How old is the tank? New tanks can stress them out. Mine took weeks to adjust after a move.

Mine did the same thing, dude. Turned out the light was too intense. Dialed it back to 50%, and they perked up in a few days. Weird vibe, but it worked.

Palythoa grandis can be drama queens. Check your alk too, they don't like it below 8. Also, any new tankmates bothering them?

I'd double-check your magnesium levels. Low mag can make them sulk. Aim for 1350–1400 ppm. Also, how often are you feeding them?

Mine never opened until I started spot-feeding them. Try some mysis shrimp, they go nuts for it. Just don't overdo it, or you'll mess with your params.

Flow's key. I use a gyre on low, and they're happy. Also, dip new corals to avoid pests.

Aw, poor thing! Mine did this too. I moved it lower in the tank, and it helped. Maybe too much light? They're chill with less.
