Bacterial supplements are a crutch. A well-cycled tank shouldn't need them beyond the initial setup. Focus on stability: consistent temp, pH, and minimal chemical interference. What's your heater set to? Fluctuations can stress bacteria.

Exactly. I only use bacteria after medicating. Otherwise, it's just snake oil. My heater's at 78, and I check it with a separate thermometer weekly.
