is this new addition excessive?

I'm thinking of making some changes - I'd love to swap out my royal gramma for a six line wrasse, and I'm also considering adding a b/w occ clown, hoping to pair up my existing one. My main concern is whether adding both would be too much for the tank.

Honestly, I think your tank is already pretty close to being overstocked. Adding more fish might not be the best idea, especially if you're trying to pair the clown. I'd say a six line wrasse is not the best choice for a smaller tank like yours.

I've had a sixline wrasse in a smaller tank myself and it got along with all my other fish just fine, but I've got mates whose sixlines have taken over their tanks - guess it just depends on the individual fish.

My Coflake Beauty kind of rules the roost, not in a bad way, just keeps the lawnmower blenny in check.
I figured adding the six-line last would help him fit in, not be the dominant one.
I really like the look of the six-line, but is there another wrasse that's a better fit for my tank?

Most folks agree that 30 gallons is the absolute minimum for a six line, so you're basically at the lowest threshold.

I came across the Blue Spotted Jawfish and I gotta say, they look pretty sweet.

That Blue Spotted Jawfish is stunning. I'll definitely keep an eye out for it, but I'm leaning towards the yellowheaded or pearly one. The local fish stores around here don't usually carry anything too exotic, so I'll probably end up with one of those.

When I add the jawfish, do you think it's a good idea to remove the lawnmower blenny first, rearrange the rockwork, then add the jawfish and finally put the blenny back in? Or do you think it'll be okay to just add the jawfish straight away? I'm thinking that way might help minimize any aggression issues that could pop up. Thanks for the advice!
