Siamese fighting fish tankmates

I've got a 10 gallon tank with a male Siamese fighting fish. Wondering if anyone's had luck with tankmates. He's chill but I don't wanna mess with the wrong vibe. Thinking maybe some shrimp or snails?

I've heard snails can work. They don't bother the betta much. What kind of shrimp were you thinking?

I've got cherry shrimp with my betta. They're small and fast, so he doesn't bother them much. Just make sure there's plenty of hiding spots.

Yo, my betta straight up murdered my shrimp. Dude's got a killer instinct. Maybe try ghost shrimp, they're cheaper if he decides to go on a rampage.

It really depends on the betta's personality. Some are chill, others are territorial. If you're gonna try shrimp, start with a few and see how he reacts. Also, make sure the tank's heavily planted.

Some bettas are just like that. It's all about their personality. If yours is aggressive, maybe stick to snails or no tankmates at all.
