Same here. Less handling means less stress. Spot cleaning helps avoid frequent moves.

Mine's a feisty one, always flares at the cup. I've started using a bigger container so he doesn't feel trapped. Works like a charm.

I've had bad luck with nets too. Switched to a cup last year, and my fish seems way happier. Less fin damage for sure.

What about those mesh nets? Heard they're softer. Or is it still better to just stick with cups?

Mesh is better than regular nets, but cups are still safer. Less chance of snagging.

I just use my hands. Sounds crazy, but if you wet them first and move slow, it's not too bad. My fish doesn't mind.
