Thanks for the love on the tank, and yeah, give that glass a good scrub, lol.

I've had a tough time getting rid of that light green algae - I've scrubbed it off multiple times, but it just keeps coming back after a couple of days. The thing is, it's really stubborn and even my algae scrapper with a metal blade can't get rid of it easily. I've kinda given up on the back of the tank, lol. I'm not sure how to stop it from coming back, but I was thinking maybe a phosphate reactor could help out.

I'm pretty particular about keeping my tank clean, so I make it a point to scrub it during water changes when the water level's low and I don't have to worry about spilling. I use a simple plastic scraper I picked up at Home Depot for cheap - it's been doing the job just fine. I don't even have a cleanup crew right now, just two hermit crabs, but I've been managing okay. I've been thinking of getting a phosphate remover to help with algae growth, and from what I've heard, Rowaphos is the way to go. It's supposed to absorb phosphates from the water column, which should help cut down on algae.

Rowaphos is a great option, it's effective at removing phosphates and also silicates and heavy metals. The tub actually mentions it has an adsorption capacity of 25g of phosphate per kg.

I'm actually kinda fond of having some algae in my tank, it adds a bit of character. Your tank, by the way, is absolutely stunning.

That starfish is massive, how long have you had him in your tank?

I think a bit of algae in the tank can be nice, just not on the front glass. Mine's on the front, but I guess it's not so bad. That harlequin tusk is amazing, one of my favorites. And I'm with BoldVoy, that starfish is seriously huge.

I've had the starfish for 3 years now, and it's been doing great. I feed it krill once a week, seems to love it. I was told it's a green crown of thorns starfish when I bought it, and yeah I know it's not supposed to be reef safe, but honestly I've had it in multiple reef tanks and never had any issues.
