How about some Guppies? They're colorful and active, but they might breed like crazy.

Thanks for all the suggestions, everyone. I'm leaning toward the Neon Tetras and Corydoras combo. Maybe a Honey Gourami if I can find a healthy one.

Sounds like a solid plan. Just make sure to acclimate them slowly to avoid stress.
