It seems like some people might be cherry-picking information to fit their arguments. Regardless, I'm not here to debate the ideal tank size for a batfish. My concern was, and still is, the casual attitude towards euthanizing a fish that outgrows its tank. To me, it's not about the tank size, but about being responsible for the life you're bringing into your care. If you can't provide a suitable environment, maybe it's better not to buy the fish in the first place.

You picked a generic comment, I chose one specific to Platax orbicularis.

That wasn't a comment, it was a cheap shot. Trying to take a humane solution for a fish that outgrew its home and couldn't be rehomed, and twisting it to make someone else feel smaller.

I don't think it's acceptable to buy a fish you can't care for. And even less to rehome it if it gets too big.

I'm not trying to make you feel small, zenoxa. But I do think your attitude towards some people here is obnoxious and arrogant. Especially when you're shouting them down with a source you're misrepresenting, and with as little experience as the person you're arguing with.
