Can apple snails eat butternut squash?

I've fed butternut squash to my snails in a 15-gallon with a canister filter. They seem to prefer it over zucchini. Just make sure it's soft enough for them to munch on.

My snails ignore squash, but maybe I didn't blanch it right. Tank's a 20-gallon with a power filter and some Anubias. Might try again.

Thanks for the advice, everyone. I'll try blanching a small piece and see how they like it. Appreciate the help!
