My main concern is the similarity in appearance between the two species, with the yellow fin of the jalo being the primary distinguishing feature.

In terms of stocking, how many of each species were you thinking of keeping? If you have a spacious tank and are confident that two males from the same species wouldn't fight, then having one male of each could work. However, I'd advise against adding females due to the risk of interbreeding.

If your tank is on the smaller side, I wouldn't recommend keeping one of each as they're too similar and may fight.

That being said, if you're okay with the possibility of crossbreeding and don't plan on selling or swapping them, then it might be worth considering. Just keep in mind that crossbreeds shouldn't be passed on to others.

I've got a 450 Juwel bow fronted tank, it's a decent size with 126kg of rock and loads of hiding spots. I've already got about 40 fish in there, so it's pretty well stocked. I'm not looking to breed, just wanted to add some colour with a couple of males.

You've got ample space in that tank, so I think having one of each would be fine, just keep in mind the similarity in their colouring. Make sure you're set on these two before bringing them home, as you might find yourself drawn to other fish with similar hues later on. I've always had a soft spot for Pseudanthias squamipinnis - lovely colouration, quite similar to these.

Those P soulosi are indeed a lovely fish as well, I've always been drawn to that particular type of colouration, there's just something about it that I find really appealing.
