Undergravel filters are like using a flip phone in 2023. They work, but why bother when there are better options? Discus deserve the best, so upgrade if you can afford it.

I've heard mixed things about undergravel filters. Some say they're fine if maintained well, others say they're a disaster waiting to happen. Guess it depends on how much effort you're willing to put in.
