BA's backup drain kicks in if the siphon clogs, no sweat. But clean your pipes monthly, or you'll get a nasty surprise. Ask me how I know.

Pro tip: put unions before the valves. Makes cleaning dumb easy. Also, skip the cheap ball valves, they'll stick. Spend on true union gate valves.
