Also, make sure your sand isn't too coarse. Fine sand is best for their barbels. Rough substrate can cause infections over time.

Good point. I've seen corys with damaged barbels from sharp gravel. It's not pretty.

If you're adding new corys, quarantine them first. I've had issues with parasites before, and it's a hassle to treat the whole tank.

Yeah, quarantine's a must. Better safe than sorry, especially with how sensitive corys can be to meds.
