Man, bettas are drama queens sometimes. Mine freaked out over a new decoration and tore his fins. He's fine now, but it took forever. Just keep the water pristine and he'll bounce back.

Yeah, bettas can be fragile. I'd avoid any sharp decor or plastic plants. Silk or live plants are way better. Also, make sure he's got places to hide, reduces stress big time.

Thanks for all the advice, everyone. Gonna move the tankmates to another tank and focus on clean water and almond leaves. Appreciate the help!

Haha, so true. Mine once flared at his own reflection for a week straight. They're something else.
