Re: why my discus has white patches?
I'm new to discus but had this happen with my angelfish. Used salt baths and it helped. Not sure if it's safe for discus though. Anyone tried it?

Salt can work, but discus are more sensitive. I'd stick to meds first. If you do try salt, keep it light, like 1 tbsp per 5 gallons max.

Might be worth checking your tap water too. Sometimes municipalities add extra chlorine or chloramines after maintenance. Are you using a conditioner? Seachem Prime is my go-to.

Had white patches once after introducing new tankmates. The discus were stressed from the newcomers. Maybe look at your stocking list? Aggressive fish can cause issues even if they're not directly attacking.

My dude, sounds sketchy. I'd hit it with a broad-spectrum med just to cover all bases. Better safe than sorry, ya know? Also, keep us posted on how it goes.
