Cryptocoryne is a solid choice. Also, consider adding some Moss Balls. They're low-maintenance and platies seem to enjoy pushing them around.

Java Fern and Anubias are solid choices. They're tough, don't need much light, and platies usually leave 'em alone. I've had luck with Amazon Swords too, but they need root tabs in sand.

Amazon Swords are awesome if you're willing to put in the work. Root tabs are a must, though.

Thanks for all the suggestions! Gonna start with Java Fern and Anubias and maybe toss in some Frogbit. Appreciate the help.
