bucephalandra Care with snails

Bucephalandra is sensitive to high light. If your snails are targeting it, they might be eating algae or biofilm on the leaves. Check your nitrate levels, as high nitrates can encourage algae growth. Aim for below 20 ppm.

I agree. Lowering the light intensity helped my Buce a lot. Snails stopped bothering it after I reduced the photoperiod to 6 hours.

Snails and Buce can coexist, but it's tricky. Maybe try a different snail species like nerites. They're less likely to munch on plants.
