African fish breeding at the aquarium

I stopped by the aquarium earlier and caught a glimpse of a pair of breeding Africans. I figured it was worth mentioning, and I thought it would be awesome if someone could help identify the species for me.

They're probably some specific type of cichlid or something, but I'm not sure what the actual name is, Africans isn't really a fish name though, is it

They're part of a mixed group with other African cichlids and fish in the hippo exhibit, which is why I didn't know the actual name - hence the request for help with identification.
