feeding pellets vs frozen food

Post by tides »

I've been feeding my Clownfish pellets for months but they seem less active lately. Thinking of switching to frozen food. Anyone got experience with this?

Pellets are convenient but frozen food's got more variety. My Tangs go nuts for mysis shrimp. Gotta thaw it properly though, or it's messy.

Frozen food can boost coloration. I alternate between pellets and frozen brine shrimp. My tank's parameters stay stable, 0 ammonia, 0 nitrite, 10 nitrate.

Pellets lack the moisture content of frozen food. Dehydration can stress fish. Try soaking pellets in tank water before feeding if you stick with them.

My fish hate pellets. They'll only eat frozen. Dunno why, just picky I guess.

I mix both. Pellets in the morning, frozen at night. Works like a charm for my Anthias. Gotta keep 'em guessing.

Frozen's pricey but worth it. My Blennies look way healthier since I switched.

Yep, thawing's key. I use a shot glass of tank water. Quick and easy, no mess. Also, frozen's got more nutrients if you get the good stuff.

My fish are lazy. They'll eat anything that floats by, pellets or frozen. No drama here.

Thanks for the tips, everyone. Gonna try frozen mysis first and see how they react.
